“ 16 years ago I embarked on a trading card game and video game idea. It was born in Scotland (seriously) in a tour bus while traveling with my husband and youngest son. From there, The Journal of NE idea, about an angel’s journal containing the secrets of heaven, has developed into a series with a soundtrack and artwork. The genre for the book is a supernatural thriller, based on true events.

My pen name is C. Charles Richards. The C is for me; and the ‘Charles’ and ‘Richards’ are from my father and uncle, both of whom wanted to be authors. There are two characters in the series that have lives outside of the pages.

Jakob, or as he is known on social media as abstract artist. Jakobkc has provided real art for several art shows. When I first began painting as him, my only desire was to have audiences feel a sense of reality of his drawings. Then in 2016 my mom passed away and I painted on a cello that was signed by Sir Elton John and then went to auction. This launched the artwork of Jakobkc separate from his book series existence. Under his name The Unity Drums Plus (see tab) was created along with several other art pieces, cards and commissioned gifts. The Unity Drums Plus is unique in that it is a 360 degree art piece of hand-painted recycled drums and instruments. The piece is signed by a multitude of well-known musicians and will travel as I speak.

The other character that has gained a life of his own outside the storyline of The Journal of NE is Dr. Kepner. I have provided a list of quotes for each day of the year. Dr. Kepner provides insight and wisdom within the pages of The Journal of NE. A natural evolution was to have his words continue to motivate and encourage. His quotes are also found in the cards. I hope this gives you a little more insight into the book series “The Journal of NE”

Will Professor Kepner tell him the secret that has been kept most of his life? Is Beth, Kepner's daughter, able to help Milin, especially because they share a similar past? And, what about the newly discovered journal written entirely in a language of music? Can it be decoded in time?

Heaven will fight against Hell for The  Journal. Neither will give up easily. Who will survive the secret of the murderer, the shadows looking for a host or the winged creature throwing blind crows against the window? Is the answer in the wind or rain?
